The word "ridge" means Nazi or Hitler greeting. It looks like this: the right hand with the open and straight palm raised up at an angle of about 45 degrees. As a rule, this gesture is accompanied by shouting the expression “Heil Hitler!”, Which translates from German, as “long live Hitler!” Or “thank Hitler!”.

Such a greeting became an element of the personality cult of Hitler during the Third Reich. Nazi ideologues believe that such a gesture was inherent in the ancient Germans at the time of the election of kings. The same gesture was adopted in ancient Rome to greet and wish the patron health.
