Reformation Welcomes Spring With Delicate Flowers
Leave it to the tough, eco-friendly brand Reformation to make a collection of lovely floral pieces have a biting edge come through with its title. “Delicate f*cking flowers” (yes, the asterisk is part of their title, too!) was the name chosen for theReformation spring 2019 florals collection, which was photographed by Pictoresq over in Paris. The fun thing about this creative team is that it is those within the team that model for the photoshoots. Reformation went with it, and created a story around their created characters Jan Scott, an artist, and Angèle, a student of French literature. These two stylish women are “on the hunt for flowers,” according to the collection’s page, and from the looks of their clothes I’d say they found them!
Reformation seemed to have a new floral fabric for each look, so the only cohesion in that regard was that most pieces were fully floral. The only break from the floral pattern was to add in a couple of solid basics, either in creamy pastels, black, or slightly deeper shades of colors easy to associate with flowers. Aside from the few pieces that conformed to that, the floral pieces come in every silhouette you’ll need for your summer wardrobe, namely tops and dresses.
The dresses Reformation presented were often lovely and quite elegant, despite being more casual in nature. Many of the dresses are flowing and airy, much as could be expected with floral dresses, while others were given more structure in the skirt. Whatever length or style you’re looking for, there’s a good chance the brand has you covered. Or if you want a particular floral pattern, the wide variety of fabrics in this line will likely have exactly what you want. And if not, you’ll at the very least find another equally as amazing print.
A hydrangea pattern was printed on a sheer georgette fabric, and featured on a semi-sheer black dress. It has a classic beauty to it, much like others in the line. One of the most classic and common floral prints, a pink floral on a creamy white came in a stunningly simple crepe tank top. Its deep bust line makes it a great choice for a layering piece, and can be styled casually, professionally, or more formally, so you can’t go wrong with a purchase like that. The same pattern was also printed on a loose-fitting summery dress, with a straight bust line and a tied, two-strap design for the top.
I could drone on forever about the different stunning pieces in this line, but getting right down to it, Reformation has created a line full of irresistible floral pieces for the season, and you can see that for yourself by scrolling through the collection feed. From elegant plunging necklines to classically lovely for dresses, simple and versatile for tops, and a variety of pants and jumpsuits, Reformation has created a way for you to stay eco-friendly while still looking just as fabulous (or even more so, I’d say in this case) than by shopping other less eco-friendly brands in the industry.
