Paper Vine Large Spiral Vase
To reproduce a similar vase - spiral, you will need: • tubes from magazine sheets 116 pieces; • • PVA glue ; • scissors; • clothes pegs; • plastic bottle with a capacity of 2 liters. Two tubes are folded with a cross and pressed against the bottle, another tube is put on one of the four threads, the tip of which slips under bottom of the bottle. Now two vines lying on top of each other begin to weave. The lower vine embraces the upper thread and lies across the stick from the crosshair. Next, the wand that took over the vine also wraps around it and is placed in a circle on the next wand. Weaving is carried out in the form of a spiral, each vine is pressed tightly against the bottle wall.
After completing the work at a sufficient height, the weaving expands. When twisting each vine, it lies not on the previous bundle, but slightly backing away. The further the new knot lies, the wider the weaving will be. By placing the knots closer or farther away, any desired shape of the product can be achieved. At the end of the weaving, the last vine is fixed with a lower stick, covered with clerical glue, and fastened with a clothespin. All excess ends are cut off and thickly smeared with glue for durability.
The bottom is made by winding the same tubes in a tight circle to the desired size. Each whip is preliminarily smoothed and coated with PVA glue. The finished bottom is fixed with a clothespin and left for some time to dry completely. Attach the bottom to the vase with PVA glue and fix with clothespins.
Paint the finished vase with wood varnish mahogany color in several stages, as after one coating, there are many unstained places. You can also put a cut-off bottle inside the vase so that you can pour water and plant fresh flowers.
