How to find out if rubella is sick

Instruction
If you are pregnant, ask your mother about rubella illness in childhood. If you are sick, then you have immunity against rubella. The disease is most dangerous for fetal development, especially the first 3 months.
Sometimes, rubella is asymptomatic, and parents may not notice its course. Then urgently go for a blood test to find out the presence of antibodies. There are two types of antibodies: class M immunoglobulin and class G immunoglobulin. The first type (M) indicates the presence of rubella at the moment; the second type (G) shows a disease that had been transferred earlier or antibodies after the action of vaccination.
View your children's health record. It should mark all rubella vaccines.
