Once I and a couple of my friends decided to build something interesting . Glance fell on a pair of gas cylinders standing in the corner. It was decided to make a smokehouse for hot-smoked meat, bacon or sausages. We decided to start. I want to add at once that none of us was neither a welder nor an engineer. Therefore, we practically had to do everything the first time.
We started making smoke-smoking smokers from the stand. Maybe this is not entirely correct, but we decided so. We had several cylinders of different diameters. Taking the largest we sawed off the top of it. And it turned out a kind of plate. Then the pipes were piped and welded, we got the legs.
Cutting the cylinder for the furnace
Next, we took a smaller cylinder and cut off about one third of its length.Then they cut a hole for the chimney.
Building a firebox with a base
Cut a window for throwing firewood and weld the firebox to the base. Then weld the door to the window on the hinges. A hole is made in the center of the door, in which, in the future, there will be a handle.

We mark the boundaries where we will cut with masking tape.And cut off the bottom of the bottle first, and then cut the doors.
Making a grill for products
Lattices made of steel mesh and a narrow strip of steel. This strip can be taken from the same cylinder, having cut off a ring from below. And in order to get a slightly smaller diameter, you need to cut a groove at the end and weld the squeezed ring. Then weld the mesh. And finally, weld the received rings into the smoking cylinder itself.
Assembly of the smokehouse
We put a cylinder of smokehouse on the furnace. Align all the level. And then we weld with welding in a circle, making the construction uniform.
Adding a smokehouse door
We hang up the door, fasten and weld the hinges. We also welded fasteners so that the door did not open spontaneously during the preparation.Although this is not necessary at all. Next, we weld the pipe with a damper - this is also not necessary, rather for aesthetics.
Smokehouse ready for testing
Smokehouse tested - everything is fine. Now I can smoke not only meat and homemade sausage, but also fish. It all turns out very delicious. In principle, such a smokehouse can be made from cylinders of the same diameter, we just had different. I want to add: when working with metal and metalworking tools, be extremely vigilant! Take your time. Before cutting the cylinders, make sure that they do not have pressure and gas. It is best to fill the water to the brim before processing so that excess vapors can come out.
